About the role
We were looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join our growing development team in Kabul. This role focused on designing, building, and maintaining high-quality software solutions for NGOs, enterprises, and international partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and backend technologies
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver reliable features
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following team standards
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
- Contribute to documentation and deployment processes
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one modern framework (React, Vue, or similar)
- Experience with REST APIs and relational databases
- Understanding of Git workflows and agile development practices
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Based in or willing to work from Kabul, Afghanistan
Nice to have
- Experience with Laravel, Node.js, or PHP backends
- Familiarity with cloud deployment and DevOps practices
- Previous experience building systems for NGOs or enterprise clients
